Just returned from a day of shooting which has turned out to be extremely rewarding. The young filmmaker Katie Young held a screenplay contest and was fortunate to get this wonderful screenplay written by Annette Sanchez. The film is dominated by roles for women (only two men on set) and the dialogue is real and authentic. I am very fond of many of the women I find myself acting with and have learned so much. Amilie Pierce and her Mom Angel Pierce are one of the finest mother/daughter duos I have ever met. It has been a privilege to spend time with them and work with them.
